How to Play JodDo

JodDo (जोड़ दो, "connect") is India's daily word-connection puzzle. Every day you get 16 words and have to sort them into 4 hidden groups of 4. The categories are all Indian — cricket, Bollywood, desi food, geography and Hindi wordplay. Here's how it works.

The steps

1. 🧩Find the hidden groupsYou see 16 words. They belong to 4 secret groups of 4. Your job is to find each group.
2. 👆Select 4 wordsTap any word to select it. You need exactly 4 selected before you can submit.
3. ✅Submit your guessHit Submit. If all 4 belong to the same group, they disappear with a coloured label.
4. ❌Wrong? Try againA wrong guess adds a mistake. You have 4 attempts before the game ends.
5. 🏆Win and shareFind all 4 groups to win, then share your result on WhatsApp — no spoilers included.

Difficulty colours

• Yellow  Easy — the most obvious Indian reference.
• Green  Medium — needs a bit of knowledge.
• Blue  Hard — a tricky category.
• Purple  Hardest — an unexpected twist or wordplay.

Tips

• Every puzzle has one "trap" word that seems to fit multiple groups.
• Look for categories and themes, not just similar-looking words.
• Shuffle the tiles to see new connections.
• A new puzzle drops every day at midnight IST.
• Your streak only counts if you play every day.
